Former President Donald Trump appeared before the Libertarian Party's national convention in an attempt to win over voters for the November election. His idea to unite and depose Biden was met with both resistance and support from his followers and those who viewed his presence as disrespectful to the Libertarian Party. Despite the boos, Trump continued to pitch the idea of unity between the two parties and attempted to find common ground. He angrily remarked that if the Libertarian Party didn't vote for him, they would "keep getting [their] three percent every four years." Trump’s speech could potentially encourage some members of the Libertarian Party to vote for him, or cause them to back Biden instead because of Trump’s insulting manner and presence at the convention.
